Due
Diligence & Anti-Laundering Regulations
ECI operates a strict due
diligence and a "know your customer" policy in compliance with international
anti-money laundering legislation. We endeavor to achieve this and satisfy
ourselves of the "bona fides" of the promoters and beneficial owners of the
client company requesting referral, by requesting supporting documentation
depending on the service requested.
Introductions to
international and offshore banks are at all times subject to our being in
possession of the required supporting documentation. As the introducer for bank
referral procedures we may in certain instances seek clarification from our
agents in this regard. ECI will in certain cases decline to offer a banking
referral service.
ECI does not guarantee that your
application to have an account opened with a specific banking institution will
be successful as a result of our introducing you to the financial institution.
The decision to provide banking facilities ultimately rests with the institution
concerned. Your application is subject to "status" i.e the status of the
beneficial owners and based on the information you provide to us.
